The AFHCAN Store-and-Forward Software has been designed from the user's perspective, with input from clinicians around the state. The system is easy to use, and requires a minimum of user training.

The Software is easily customizable to fit the already-existing clinical workflow in the 40+ organizations involved in the AFHCAN project. Our goal was not to create new business rules, but to enable and facilitate healthcare delivery.

In addition to meeting clinical needs, we have designed the Software to perform in a wide variety of network configurations. The Software uses a unique "routing" protocol and industry-standard encryption to move data between servers and organizations. Any server in a location connected to the statewide telehealth wide-area network or able to "browse" to the internet can send and receive data from any other server -- with Administrative-level security and access controls in place.
