AFHCAN continues to redefine its "store and forward" product with an aggressive development campaign. The AFHCAN Software Upgrade, which is based on .NET ("dot.net") programming technology, is a major redesign that significantly improves security, performance, flexibility, and reliability.

One of the benefits of the AFHCAN .NET Software is that it allows software upgrades to be distributed via the network and installed automatically. Security and performance enhancements can be implemented and new features added without the need for user intervention or an expensive IT service call.

Some new features and options in the second quarter software upgrade release add capabilites to:
  • Support the addition of a RS232 Power Switch for power management - only turns on equipment when in use.
  • Capability to export data out of the AFHCAN software
  • Enhanced support for frame grabbers
  • Improved Forms usability - tabbing capability through fields speeds up data entry and includes drop down fields
  • Addtion of a warning message to "Lock Camera in Drawer: when turning off the power
  • Removal of Software Licence Acceptance when logging on - makes it even faster to create a telehealth case
Timesaving

Case data will reside on the local computer until it includes all forms and images for the current patient encounter. No delays waiting for web pages to load over satellite links. No more pauses with slow connectivity.

Efficient Searches

System Administrators may search within a category such as case creator, recipient group, or server!

User-Friendly Help Pages

Help pages will include an overview of the software with a clickable content index. Help for each screen remains clickable within the screen.

Poor or Intermittent Connectivity?

You'll know three ways! Buttons will gray, status indicator in top frame of screen, and a pop-up notice. Most importantly - telemedicine cases can be created anyway, and will be sent when the server is available.
