In tConsult Web there are two ways to view a patient’s demographic information (the personal information related to a patient’s identity):
a. The first way to view patient information displays the record of a patient associated with a case. If a case is open and displayed in the right area of the main window, click on the View Patient Record link.

The Patient Record screen will open displaying information for the patient identified in the case.

b. The second way to view patient information requires you to search for and select the desired patient. This approach allows you to view any patient’s demographic information without referencing a case. To begin, click on the Patients link in the left column.

This opens to a patient search window.

Blank fields are considered wild cards. Words to the right of the data entry boxes indicate how entries will be used in the search. The selections shown above will return the maximum number of patients. Click on the Search button to execute the search.

A list of patients matching the search criteria will be displayed.

A purple bar next to the name indicates a test patient. If a lock is shown next to the patient’s name, the information can be viewed but cannot be edited. In some configurations, you will be able to view the patients from other organizations (as indicated in the Source column).
Click on a patient to view patient information in the right area of the window. To view a different patient, simply click on that patient’s name in the list.

To view a list of all cases associated with a patient, click the Cases button.

To view the history of changes made to this patient’s information, click the Record Change History button.

To print a report of the patient’s information, click the Print button.

Refer to the Create a New Case topic for information on the Create Case button.
The Edit button is covered in the next section.
